What’s the best way to visit the most beautiful villages on Lake Garda? You could travel by car, but why lock yourself inside and also have to look for a parking spot? You could also get around by bicycle, but maybe you're not always in a “sporty” mood. .
So, why not opt for a nice boat trip around Lake Garda, taking advantage of the public service that connects the different banks of the largest lake in Italy every day?
Here's how to get around the northern part of Lake Garda, between the shores of Garda Trentino, Brescia and Verona, and which villages to visit!
The villages of Garda by boat
Our boat trip among the most picturesque villages of Lake Garda starts from our very own, Riva del Garda. A short walk connects our Downtown apartments, in the center, to the port where the boats depart. It is possible to reach the pier with a short walk along the lake, perhaps with a coffee break in the square, under the Apponale Tower!
A little further on, the boat will set sail for Torbole, an ancient fishing village that for centuries has been appreciated by visitors passing through Lake Garda. Before and after Goethe, many have praised the beauty of this village, which has struck visitors for centuries. Those who arrive by boat will immediately admire its colourful houses overlooking the lake, as well as the peculiar marina, the famous Casa del Dazio and the historic buildings in the center.
The boat will then continue towards Limone, on the Lombardy shore. In addition to beautiful churches, you can visit the city's wonderful lemon groves, with their scenic terraces. The trip can then continue further, with the boats that connect Limone to Malcesine, on the Veneto shore: dominated by a castle overlooking the lake, and even further up by Monte Baldo, this Garda village is worth a visit for its small and delightful historic center.
