Would you like a holiday among olive trees and other Mediterranean plants, with fabulous beaches and clear waters, but also with exciting mountain peaks to conquer? In Riva del Garda, all of this is possible!

Garda Trentino is the perfect destination for those looking for high-altitude challenges, without forgetting relaxation. It is no coincidence that the apartments in our residence are named after the hills surrounding Riva del Garda, from Stivo to Brione, up to Monte Velo.

Would you like some tips on trekking in Riva del Garda? Here are some ideas!

5 trekking itineraries that we recommend around Riva:

Excursion to Monte Brione

Let’s start with an easy circular route along the Sentiero della Pace. From our apartments, head towards Porto San Nicolò, where the marked 6 kilometer route begins, with less than 300 meters altitude difference.

Busatte-Tempesta panoramic path

A panoramic walk that winds between Busatte, in Torbole, up to Tempesta, along a steep ridge overlooking the lake, equipped with iron stairs. Scenically unbeatable and easy, with just 300 meters altitude difference!

Trip to to Punta Larici

Punta Larici is one of the most famous excursions in Riva del Garda, with many different access points. The most memorable one leaves directly from the center of Riva and follows Strada del Ponale, with wonderful views along the entire route!

Trekking on Mount Stivo

The trek to the peak overlooking the “Busa” of Riva del Garda typically starts from the car park above Bolognano, near Arco, and extends for a total of 10 kilometers with 850 meters altitude difference. The view from the top will be the perfect reward for every effort!

Ferrata to Cima Rocchetta

Finally, we would like to recommend a via ferrata for expert hikers with their own equipment. The route climbs from Riva, passing the Bastione, up to the Capanna di Santa Barbara. The Ferrata dell'Amicizia starts just above, leading first to Cima Sat, and then to Cima Rocchetta. A tough trek for those looking for a real full-day challenge!

These are some of the most famous trekking excursions in Riva del Garda. Is your backpack ready? At the end of your trek, come and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation in our swimming pool, among palms and olive trees!
