Mountain biking in the Riva del Garda area: the most famous routes

There's really no shortage of options for mountain bike lovers here! For example, a great intermediate level classic route is the one from the center of Riva del Garda to Lake Tenno, connecting the two lakes for a total length of around 23 kilometers, with 600 meters altitude difference. Those looking for an easier itinerary, perhaps to do with the whole family, can opt for the short tour of Monte Brione, cycling around the iconic Riva hill for a total of 8 flat kilometers.

What about those looking for a real mountain bike challenge? You can jump on on your bike and tackle the legendary Tremalzo tour, starting from Lake Ledro and winding along the legendary Strada per Tremalzo. The typical departure is Prè di Ledro village, from where you climb up to Passo Guil, and then to Passo Nota: the most challenging stretch begins here, along a road built by the Italian army at the time of the Great War. Then, you’ll reach the 1855 meters of the tunnel under the Corno della Marogna, from where the wonderful descent finally begins, taking you back to the bottom of the valley.
